Life is painful. A life lived has a way of leaving its mark.
Scars are those marks.
Scars are the notches of the trials, the pain and the living.
They are evidence and the result of choices.
They are also the reminders that whatever got us wasn’t good enough to kill us.

Scars can take years to heal. Mentally. Physically. Spiritually.
And every scar has a story.
Some are painful to relive.
Others are sources of pride.

All are to be taken seriously.

Scar Project is a forum for those with scars to share the stories, the causes and their lasting effects. We are looking for people who are willing to share their scar and its story. Each individual chosen* will be professionally photographed and documented. The images will be published in a book dedicated to scars as well as be featured in a gallery opening.
